PM Says Desire for a Weak America is Bad for the World

PHNOM PENH: During the graduation ceremony at the Vanda Institute in Koh Pich this morning, 22 March 2023, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that the stable economies of Europe and America ensure Cambodia's growth, further stating that wishing any country’s collapse is a bad idea.

Hun Sen stated that the current era is a time to focus on growth through interdependence, as the collapse of one country will affect others.

"Just one Sri Lankan collapse has given the whole world a headache," he said. "[Cambodia] and the world depend on the growth of the United States."
